Stone Setting Questions, Answered

How much does stone setting cost?

Setting labor starts at $5 per stone for diamonds and gemstones you already have. Stone tightening starts at $50 for up to 8 loose side stones. If you need a replacement stone, we quote it by type, size, and quality before any work begins.

I still have the stone — can you reset it?

Yes. Pack the stone securely with the piece, choose the setting service, and we inspect the setting, repair any worn prongs, and set it.

Can you match a lost stone?

Yes. Tell us the stone type and size if you know it; our setters match color, cut, and size to the remaining stones and confirm the price with you first.

How long does stone setting take?

About 7–10 business days from the day your piece arrives, plus shipping time each way. Sourcing an unusual replacement stone can add time — we tell you up front.

Is my piece insured during shipping?

Yes. We ship via FedEx and every shipment is fully insured by Lloyd’s of London. At checkout you select a FedEx shipping option (or ship on your own), and we return your piece fully tracked and insured.
