Bezel Setting

A bezel setting encircles a gemstone with a thin metal rim that wraps around its edges, holding it securely in place. Unlike prong settings, bezels offer superior protection for the stone—making them ideal for active lifestyles or softer gemstones. The trade-off is slightly less light exposure compared to prongs. Bezel settings can be full (completely surrounding the stone) or partial (leaving portions exposed). Repairs typically involve tightening or rebuilding the metal rim.
