Jewelry Repair Questions, Answered
How much does jewelry repair cost?
Repairs in this category start at $15 for pearl and bead restringing and run up to $70 for ring shank repair or unsoldering. Most common fixes — clasps, earring posts, chain resizing, jump rings — fall between $19 and $60. You always see the starting price before you ship.
Do you repair all metals?
Yes — we repair gold (yellow, white, and rose), sterling silver, platinum, and stainless steel. Titanium and tungsten are supported for engraving only, as their hardness makes most metalwork repairs impractical.
How long does jewelry repair take?
Most repairs here take 5–10 business days from the day your piece arrives at our workshop, plus shipping time each way. Gemstone polishing can take up to two weeks. You’ll get tracking updates the whole way.
Is my jewelry insured during shipping?
Yes. QJR uses FedEx, and all shipments are fully insured by Lloyd’s of London. At checkout you select a FedEx shipping option (or ship on your own), and we ship your piece back to you fully tracked and insured.
What if my repair isn’t listed?
